WalletHub released their report of the happiest states in America for 2021. The study was based on 31 metrics including depression rates, money problems, productivity levels, adequate sleep rates and more.
The happiest states included Utah, Minnesota, Hawaii, California and North Dakota. On the very bottom of the list, the unhappiest states included Oklahoma, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas and West Virginia.
What about the New England states? While we weren't at the very top, we fared pretty well. Massachusetts landed at #10, Connecticut at #11, Vermont at #12, New Hampshire at #19, Maine at #20 and Rhode Island at #21.
