A Cincinnati man was able to recover his stolen custom truck after tracking it down through Facebook Marketplace. When Blake Hensley discovered his 2023 Ford Raptor missing from his driveway, he scoured Facebook Marketplace in search of the parts he believed the thieves might try to sell.
Hensley found his custom wheels listed for sale, identified by a unique serial number, and contacted the seller while posing as a buyer. He coordinated with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office to arrange a meeting, where deputies intercepted the transaction and recovered the wheels, leading them to locate the stolen truck.
Hensley says this wasn’t his first experience with theft. There was a prior incident in 2024 involving stolen car keys from his business, Upscale Auto Sales. And while he’s happy to have gotten his truck back, no arrests have been made, and he’s still on the hook for expenses related to repairs, towing, storage, and impound fees.
