Lots of Americans get a little work done, so they can look their best and a new report reveals which procedures they’re having done the most. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons has just released their report on the top cosmetic surgeries performed in the U.S. last year.
- It reveals that there were 26.2-million surgical and minimally invasive procedures performed in the U.S. in 2022.
- Overall, there’s been a 19% increase in cosmetic surgery procedures since 2019.
- The most common cosmetic surgery was liposuction, followed by breast augmentation.
- The top non-surgical procedure was neuromodulator injections (like Botox), followed by Hyaluronic Acid fillers.
There were nearly 1.5-million cosmetic surgical procedures performed in the U.S. in 2022. The top five were:
- Liposuction (325,669 procedures)
- Breast Augmentation (298,568 procedures)
- Tummy Tuck (161,948 procedures)
- Breast Lift (143,364 procedures)
- Eyelid Surgery (115,261 procedures)
Out of the nearly 23.7-million minimally invasive cosmetic procedures done in 2022, the top five were:
- Neuromodulator Injections (8,736,591 procedures)
- Hyaluronic Acid Fillers (4,883,419 procedures)
- Skin Resurfacing (3,322,292 procedures)
- Skin Treatment, Combination Lasers (2,915,199 procedures)
- Lip Augmentation with Injectable Materials (1,378,631 procedures)
