On the heels of a report a few months back that too much tablet or smartphone time is like crack for the brain, a new report is out with a more positive spin on electronics! According to a 2015 biennial Youth Risk Behavior Survey administered by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, teenagers would rather spend their time playing video games like Mario Run or Pokemon GO than get down and dirty in the sheets or experiment with illegal drugs.
The survey says over 45% of NY teens spend AT LEAST 3 hours a day on their smart phones...that's up over 41% from 2013. What about doing the "Dance with No Pants"?? The number is DOWN from a little over 31% to 27% The number of teens drinking and doing drugs is down too!
