New York State as a whole is seeing numbers of Coronavirus cases steadily decline which is some of the best news that we've all gotten in quite some time. As of Monday, less than 1% of tests that came back tested positive for COVID-19.
Here in the Capital Region there has not been a death related to Coronavirus in 7 days and according to Albany County Executive Dan McCoy, there are only 8 people hospitalized because of it. Only 1 of those people hospitalized are in ICU.
McCoy also reported that there have been no new cases of Coronaviurs in the last 24 hours. All of this is great news as we head into the middle of Summer. Stage 4 of our re-opening is set to begin on July 1st. Let's all continue to do what we can to help keep our numbers in the Capital Region low. Whether that means wearing your masks or social distancing. Keep washing your hands, get enough sleep and stay as healthy as you can.
