Sailfest is Southeastern Connecticut’s premiere summertime event. The two-day festival consists of a major fireworks display, amusement rides, free entertainment, Tall Ships, and vendors lining the downtown New London streets.
Sailfest produces multiple stages of free entertainment with musical genres ranging in Funk, Rock, and Latin. There is also a children's stage on Saturday featuring local youth performers. Sailfest showcases one of the largest fireworks displays in the Northeast.
Locally hand-made crafts, art, clothing, and jewelry are just a few of the things available among the vast array of wares for sale from vendors lining the streets. Each vendor has something different to offer! On State Street, check out the handmade gemstone jewelry and starfish ornaments. Be sure to stop by the art show and the woodworking show, both located on Bank Street.
Sailfest has plenty of delicious food for everyone’s needs. Whether you crave American food, like fried dough, or lobster rolls; these vendors have what you want! With homemade waffle bites, ice cream and gyros, Sailfest is the melting pot of event food. Be sure to stop by the Craft Beer tent located at the Parade Plaza. Tox Brewing Co. will again be brewing a special limited edition Sailfest beer. Other craft beers will include Whalers and Two Roads.
