I'm a 93 millennial. So while there are many aspects of millennial life I ascribe to like the millennial pause and having a side part, there are parts of gen z that just really get me and this is absolutely one. The thumbs up emoji, according to Gen Z, comes off as VERY passive aggressive and rude. Honestly, when someone sends the thumbs up emoji to me it genuinely upsets me. Like the vibe is just so off and it gives "sure jan" energy. There were a couple different emojis that Gen Z thinks makes people look old: the red heart, the clapping hands, and the checkmark. My millennial is showing here because I use 2/3 of those.
