Despite the horrific Los Angeles fires that are still causing devastation around the city, the 2025 Grammy Awards will still take place as planned. However, the show will raise funds to help to support relief efforts.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, in a letter sent to Academy members, Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. and Chair of the Board of Trustees Tammy Hurt said, "Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. This city is our home, and we mourn the loss of life and destruction that have come to it in recent days."

Later in in the letter, they confirmed, "In close coordination with local authorities to ensure public safety and responsible use of area resources, the 67th Grammy Awards telecast on CBS on Feb. 2 will proceed as planned. This year's show, however, will carry a renewed sense of purpose: raising additional funds to support wildfire relief efforts and honoring the bravery and dedication of first responders who risk their lives to protect ours."

The letter also mentioned that the Recording Academy and MusiCares launched the Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort with an initial $1 million donation in an effort to support music creatives and professionals, and since then, they've distributed over $2 million in aid to those in need.

Mason and Hurt concluded their letter by saying, "In challenging times, music has the power to heal, comfort, and unite like nothing else. The GRAMMYs will not only honor the artistry and achievements of our music community but also serve as a platform to amplify the spirit of resilience that defines this great city of Los Angeles."

This year's Grammy nominees include Taylor Swift, Charli XCX, Post Malone, Sabrina Carpenter, Kendrick Lamar and Chappell Roan, among others, in addition to Beyoncé who is the leading nominee with a whopping 10 nominations.

So many people have either evacuated or lost their homes due to the Pacific Palisades fires, including celebrities like Paris Hilton, Anna Faris, Eugene Levy, James Woods, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, Sandra Lee, Ricki Lake and more.
