How you can help the Branford family that lost their 10 year old son Friday

An awful, awful tragedy struck the Branford community on Friday as 10 year old Ben Callahan lost his life in a tragic accident on the Branford River. The Branford and surrounding communities have come together to hold a vigil tonight on the Branford Green (Sunday night) at 7:30pm. Attendees are being asked to bring candles, since there may be a shortage.

A Meal Train page has also been set up for the family, and over $20,000 has been raised so far from the family. From that page:

"Ben Callahan just 10 years old was an outstanding athlete and he excelled in just about anything he did. He had a love and a passion for Football, Basketball, and Lacrosse, he pushed himself self to the max in each sport and would often wear his heart on his sleeve like a " true warrior" as he is often called. Ben also excelled in the classroom and was talented in so many ways. He loved instruments, music, cooking for his family and he enjoyed helping his dad multi task at work."
