Next season of Grey's Anatomy will be all about coronavirus

It's no secret that COVID-19 has made an impact on virtually everything, and now Grey's Anatomy plans to tackle the topic.

Krista Vernoff, the show's executive producer and show runner, revealed that they will "for sure" address the coronavirus in season 17 during the "Quaranstreaming: Comfort TV That Keeps Us Going" panel moderated by Entertainment Weekly.

"There’s no way to be a long-running medical show and not do the medical story of our lifetimes," Vernoff said.

Production on season 17 has not yet started due to the pandemic.
