LEWIS CAPALDI LAUNCHES MENTAL HEALTH CAMPAIGN
Lewis Capaldi is doing what he can to help his fans with their mental health. The singer just launched the new mental health campaign “Livelive,” which seeks to help fans dealing with panic attacks and social anxiety.
Livelive was launched in connection with Lewis’ current UK tour, which began last week in London. It offers an email support system, which will help fans learn about on-site facilities at the show. Lewis also shares meeting points for solo concert goers to find company at the show. It also offers a help desk at shows with information on how they can get more long-term help and provides a quiet space for anyone experiencing anxiety and panic attacks, along with trained medical staff to help.
“People were saying, ‘Thank you – I feel less alone.’ Or, ‘I have social anxiety and that’s stopped me from coming to your shows,’” Lewis shared. “One in 10 people have anxiety, and we saw that there was an opportunity for us to provide that support for people.”
Lewis’ tour is in Dublin tonight.
