CT woman battling breast cancer gets huge support from Patriots, fans

As a die hard Patriots fan myself, I've been following fellow die hard Patriots fan Kara's story for awhile on social media. Mixed in with excitement of the Patriots season and what's to come, has been a tough story and battle. It's one that is truly awful, described here:

While she was on a first date with Austin she suffered a devastating fall. She has had to battle through numerous surgeries just for the ability to walk. During her most recent surgery they used a piece of pelvic bone to rebuild her ankle joint. A follow up CT Scan to check the pelvic healing revealed a mass in her breast.
Kara now has another battle to face. Breast Cancer. She is facing this with the same warrior mentality that has gotten her through the multiple foot and ankle surgeries and I have no doubt she will
KICK CANCERS ASS. With our support.

She recently underwent several surgeries, including a double mastectomy. A GoFundMe page set up for her has raised over $23,000 with donations from near and far Patriots fans around the country, and her story and determination to fight and win her battle has made it worldwide, including to the New England Patriots' website:

In this time where people are angry on social media about seemingly everything - it's great to see the power of the internet do so much good for someone in need. Today, she got to live out a dream and tour Gillette Stadium, even meeting the owner of the team, Robert Kraft:

Big time props to the Patriots organization and fans from all over who have helped Kara in her journey so far. We are all rooting for you.
