Talk about giving back to the community during a time of need! Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively took to instagram to announce they'd be donating $1 million to help people get food and essential supplies during the coronavirus pandemic. The celeb duo is working directly with Feeding America and Food Banks Canada and each organization is to receive $500,000 in donations.
Reynolds took to twitter to remind people to "Take care of your bodies and hearts. Leave room for joy. Call someone who's isolated and might need connection." Blake Lively also joined in the conversation via twitter and posted her own message, "Remember the love that can travel through all this. Communities are stepping up -- shopping for the elderly, making lunches for children. We can all do something for one another, even is that's simply staying home."
Moral of the story here is the coronavirus effects all of us regardless of race, gender, identity or socioeconomic status. It's important for all of us to give back and support each other during this time in any way that we can.
